Elias Letwaba became the successor of John G. Lake in South Africa. Prior to his birth an angel appeared to his mother revealing that her son would be a preacher of the Gospel. As a child Letwaba was continually in prayer. By the time he was 19 he was walking for miles to remote villages to preach the Gospel to the poor. Many times he was supernaturally protected from wild animals in the jungles as he made his way from one village to another. He was involved with a mighty outpouring in the highlands of South Africa under John Lake's ministry. He had tremendous faith and tenacity. Once he prayed for hours for a baby who had apparently died with a broken neck. After he had finished praying the child was alive and well. Letwaba later began Patmos Bible School where he trained a new generation of men and women for the work of the ministry. He died in 1959 at the age of 89, but not before he had personally seen over 10,000 people healed!
