Reasons Why I Believe GOD Will Heal by William Freeman
Many times as I have traveled across the nation and into foreign countries I have been asked by eanest hearts "Why do you preach and teach Healing?" In answer to this question let me say that there are a thousand or more reasons that I could give you why that there is healing for bady as well as for soul. I have never placed the healing of the body above the healing of the soul. You may go to Heaven with a broken body but you will never gain Heaven if your soul is not right before GOD. Even though the soul is Etenal and the body merely temporal GOD has made ample provision not only for the soul of man but for his body as well. In other words as you come to Christ for Salvation, HE automatically becomes responsible for ALL OF YOUR NEEDS!
All sickness is the result of Satan's work. One of the primary resons I believe in Divine Healing is the realization that sickness is the result of Satan's onslaught. The Word of GOD says that "many are the AFFLICTIONS of the righteous, BUT the LORD delivereth them out of them all." GOD would be at cross purposes with Himself if HE sent afflictions and then sent deliverance. This is not in accord with the plain teaching of the Word of GOD.
Another reaon I believe in Divine Healing is that GOD has always healed. I will take but one passage of Scripture which should settle in your mind that it is the will of GOD to bring Healing. Turn with me to the book of Exodus where we read these dynamic words which impart faith to every sincere soul. "I am the LORD that Healeth thee!" If this blessing was promised in the Old Testament, how much greater blessing can we expect in the New. Again we read that "My GOD shall supply all our need, according to HIS riches in Glory by Christ Jesus."
The Word of GOD contains seven names of GOD which are called Redemptive names of GOD. One of these is Jehovah-rapphi, which declares that I am the LORD that healeth thee! It is wonderful to know that healing is such a part of the revelation that we are given of GOD that it is contained in HIS name.
Another reason I believe in Divine Healing is that the Last Commission teaches it! Christ Jesus was about to leave the world. Into the hands of HIS disciples HE was placing the future of HIS Kingdom. Several instructions were given. They were commanded to heal the sick! Would Christ have commissioned HIS disciples to heal the sick if healing was not to be perpetrated as a part of the blessing of the Kingdom?
A prominent reason for my belief in Divine Healing is that the same Holy Spirit which made possible healing and miracles in "Bible Days" is in the Church today! HE is still performing HIS office work and making real the things of Christ. This Spirit will quicken the promises of GOD for Healing to you and bring Healing from the theoretical stage unto the realm of reality.
In closing let me say that you may be convinved in your heart that it is the will of GOD to heal some. This is not faith that will bring healing to you. This is good and true as far as it goes, but it is not healing faith. You must go beyond believing that healing is possible for some and come to the place where you are convinced in your heart that healing is for YOU! I have often said that GOD works on promise. That is the premise of faith. I have given you several from out of the hundreds of reasons why I believe in that GOD will heal you. In closing I want to ask one question. When will you be healed? No sooner than when you believe. Be assured that NOW healing is for you, even as you hear these words say in your heart LORD I believe you NOW for my healing and you shall surely receive!
